The Clinic Division (6U) is an instructional division for girls ages 4 to 6 who are just beginning to play softball.
The essentials of the game are taught, focusing on the fundamentals of throwing, catching, hitting and running. The basic concepts of how the game is played and the proper positioning of the players on the field is also taught to the girls.
Hitting is done from a tee to begin and as the players progress they will learn to hit pitches thrown by a coach. Games and practices are played with an emphasis on learning and development of skills to prepare players for the Ponytail Division (8U). Games are not scored, though outs are recorded to reward good defensive play.
Simply put, the Clinic Division provides an excellent opportunity to teach the basics and a love for the game of softball.
